Solarlux: Economical disposal concepts lead to an increase in revenue

Solarlux has presented an excellent level of quality in the manufacture of conservatories, terrace roofs, folding glass walls and façade solutions for 30 years. The company performs at a high level worldwide with individual glass solutions and innovative design possibilities.

The initial situation

The issue of sustainability is anchored in all corporate areas of Solarlux. The 600-strong company therefore found it important to develop and implement a sustainable disposal concept for the waste and disposal management of their resulting waste.

Solution

Firstly, all waste fractions and processes were analysed and documented. The aluminium profile fraction represents a significant flow of material. It was of particular importance to establish a sustainable and transparent disposal process here. Taking into account all the types of waste flow, a disposal concept was developed which considers both internal processes and external disposal logistics. In addition, the invoicing processes were designed to be transparent. By implementing this concept, it was possible to optimise the disposal costs by up to 50%, and the revenue from reusable materials in this area by more than 25%. Sustainable support in the accounting process, waste account balancing and process documentation guarantees the constant optimisation of the continuous improvement process (CIP).

"We are committed to sustainability in all areas of our business. With Hellmann Process Management, we have found a partner who is able to supports us both effectively and competently in this area."
